Maintenance Position

Job Description for Maintenance

• Full Time, Year Round opening for a Flexible Shift Maintenance Person – Immediate Opening for this family run business
• This position would have you working Full Time during the busy months. During the quieter months your hours would vary depending on the winter time renovation projects, that you would be a part of.  Your work week would include weekends and also some holidays. We are looking for a well rounded person who is self directed as you could be working alone completing certain projects. You will be assisting the Front Desk at times procuring items for guest requests, delivering linen supplies to linen closets, answering room maintenance calls, helping in setting up and breaking down function spaces, working on snow, painting, trash and recyclables removal, etc. – all this in addition to working on maintenance projects.  No day is ever the same in the hospitality industry.
• Ideally you have basic experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting but are will to learn and pitch in wherever needed.
• It is a busy environment, and you will get your steps in as you walk the property, go up and down stairs and assist where needed.
• You must also enjoy the ocean and sea breezes, as it’s seen from every room on property

Housekeeping Positions

• Take care of our guests who are like family to the Inn.  Cleaning of rooms upon check out, daily servicing of guests, quality control of our amenities for the rooms, providing extra touches to ensure our guests are welcomed and appreciated. We are a friendly group so you must like working with people.  Our team is a TEAM, so there are times you will be assisting in laundry to load the machines, fold and organize the inventory.  Each section of rooms has a closet nearby to keep stocked for daily needs.  You must enjoy ocean views, as they are seen from every corner of our property.  Lifting, bending, scrubbing and going up and down stairs will happen daily.  Schedule is a bit flexible for start and end times, but you must be able to work on weekends ( summer Saturdays are a must) and holidays (if the schedule requires).  You can work PT or FT, Seasonally or Year Round.

Servers

•  The Blue Bistro will start to hire servers for the season in Mid February.  We offer Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner shifts, 6 days a week during the season, 5 days a during the off season.  We serve inside, on the deck and on the ocean view rotunda based on the season.  Full bar, full menu with specials and weekly events held ( Lobster Bakes in the summer, Prime Rib dinner night in the off season).  Also service for weddings, groups and events could be scheduled in.  Service experience is required, use of a digital POS system is helpful and a love of people is necessary.  Bar tending experience is a big plus.  Love to craft drink specials?  You could be our lead.  We are a small team here in the Bistro, with locals and guests loving our location, food and outstanding customer service.

Laundry Lead

•  After 20 years of service, our lead in laundry has retired.  We are now looking for that special someone who  will take this department that we all rely on and make it their own.  We have two industrial sized washers and 3 75;b dryers on site.  We inspect, pre-treat, wash and fold on site.   This department is critical to making sure our housekeeping team has what they need to service the rooms.  You will stand, walk, bend and lift throughout the day, a great workout without a treadmill.  Prior experience would be important but not critical, as we will train the right candidate.  Join our team!
